Over 122,000 Australians go to sleep homeless every night.
Over 9,000 of those are Western Australians.
Of those, over 3,500 are young Western Australians under the age of 25.
Start: 6pm Friday 8 August 2025
Finish: 7.30am Saturday 9 August 2025
We will be sleeping overnight at Optus Stadium, located in Burswood WA. Entry is via Gate E where there are plenty of drop off bays and parking available. Ushers will be on hand to point you in the right direction from the carpark.
All you need is a sleeping bag and pillow. We advise that you do not bring anything valuable to the event as there is nowhere secure to store your belongings. The event organisers and the venue cannot be held responsible for the loss of personal items. Sports equipment such as balls are not allowed to be brought to the venue.
You will be provided with a light dinner on Friday evening and a light breakfast on Saturday morning. Water will be available from water dispensers on site, so you may want to bring a water bottle to refill at the Stadium.
It will get COLD overnight, so warm layers are appropriate. Jackets, beanies, gloves and warm socks are all approved and recommended!
Last year, the 2024 School Sleep Out was the biggest yet, with 520 students from 20 schools taking part. Collectively, they raised $214,912 to support Street Connect, a service helping young people who are either homeless or at risk of homelessness.
What will the 2025 Sleep Out students be able to achieve?
